The name of the company is inspired by the third component of each system, people (Hardware, Software and Liveware), a value that has guided and guides the company since its beginnings, making focus on leadership and team integration.

1983 – A team of young visionaries:
The company was born in Argentina when a group of professionals decided to create an ambitious consulting project aimed at facilitating the resolution of problems related to software development at the enterprise level.
With these objectives in mind, Liveware initially focused its services on training systems professionals and users of information systems. It was a pioneer in developing, applying and disseminating the principles of software engineering, the concepts of quality in systems development and the strategic value of information systems.
The guiding principle was, and still is, the balance between processes, technology and people.
1992 – On the way to growth/expansion:
Liveware Ingeniería de Software S.A. is formed and the expansion of the business begins, from 3 to 40 collaborators in a period of 10 months. At this time, the ideas of Watts Humphrey, about the importance of processes in software quality, were taken into account.
In addition to the training offer, consulting services are added to the services oriented to the introduction of software development methodologies within the organisation; being one of our first clients international corporations of financial services, oil and insurance industry, among others.
Also, in 1994, the company was once again a pioneer in introducing the CMM (Capability Maturity Model) model for the improvement and evaluation of the software development process in the country. The demand for these services was growing in a wide range of industries and Liveware completed more than 95 projects in four countries using this model and its updated version, which integrated several disciplines under the name of CMMI. It also incorporated other models such as COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma and ISO, broadening its offer of solutions for different needs of the technology areas. Between 1995 and 1996 it began to export consulting services internationally.
Around 2001, the economic crisis that the country was going through hit the company hard, at a time when it already had 90 employees. The solution to overcome this situation was to reconvert the company and start working with the local industry, collaborating with its improvement, and with the focus on exporting IT products and services abroad. In this sense, it contributed to the creation of the Rosario Technological Pole and a significant number of medium and large companies, both local and international, based in Argentina, such as Accenture, Globant, Deloitte, ATOS Origin, Oracle. This helps to consolidate the export model to the region and Europe.
At this time, Liveware defines its Software Architecture services, being a pioneer in understanding the importance of these practices in a scenario of increasing complexity of technology and the weight that the Internet was going to have in the development of applications.
In 2004, Liveware obtained ISO 9001 Quality Certification and, since then, has maintained it covering all of the company’s services.
2011 – On the road to transformation:
We began a new stage of transformation that led us to work in Central America, in countries such as the Dominican Republic, Panama and Colombia.
Based on Software Architecture services, we expanded our offer to include Enterprise Architecture practices (hand in hand with The Open Group and its TOGAF model). We also developed projects in the areas of Defence and mission-critical software, which allowed us to expand our capabilities to solve highly complex problems. We also incorporated Data Government, Big Data and Cloud into our service lines.
In 2013 we realised CMMI Level 3 accreditation for our consulting and software development services. This meant that we were one of the few companies in the world to obtain this recognition in the area of consulting.
In 2017, we began to promote strategic alliances as partners with Microsoft, Atlassian and Mega. By the end of November of this year, we obtained the special mention for IT quality in the Sadosky Awards to the Argentine Software Industry.
2020 – A company in constant evolution and growth:
The global crisis situation, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, led us to evolve our business model. This new phase brought a renewed identity that seeks to reflect Liveware’s capacity for transformation and growth.
During 2020 and 2021, we have had a strong commitment to contribute to the Digital Transformation of organisations by adding value from our technological partnerships.
At Liveware we continue to add quality to our services to align ourselves with new technologies, increasing our passion for innovation and the growth of people so that software is the tool that improves people’s quality of life, helps sustainability and is a robust proposal to generate wealth for our country.
